If you're a Pokémon fan, there's a lot of merchandise out there for you in the world. Some of it is affordable cheap-and-cheerful bits and bobs, and some options are surprisingly pricey polo shirts. The Pokémon Center (in the US and UK) is an official go-to of course, and has now unveiled a second series for its 'Die-Cast Poké Ball Replica Series'.
The first series had iconic replicas like Poké Ball and Great Ball, whereas the new series is for proper fans that really know their stuff. We say this as your humble scribe (a series noob) had to look up what any of them are. First up is the Heal Ball (which is self explanatory), which is available for pre-order ahead of a shipment date of 15th April; it costs £99.99. Don't worry if you're not in the US or UK, as 'participating retailers' around the world will have stock after a month-long Pokémon Center exclusivity.
Upcoming arrivals this year will be Friend Ball, Quick Ball and Cherish Ball. Below is some official blurb on the replicas, which seem quite fancy.
The latest lineup comes on the heels of hugely popular replicas launched previously, including the iconic Poké Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, Dusk Ball and Premier Ball. Trainers who haven’t collected these replicas yet will be able to do so when they become available again this year at Pokémon Center in the US and UK, as well as other participating retailers. Every Die-Cast Poké Ball Replica produced by The Wand Company comes with motion-sensing and multicolored lights, a uniquely numbered presentation case and a stainless steel ring to display the product.

Q : Do you collect these replicas?
Me : I already have cheap Pokeballs (Standard and Quick ball) with diameter = 10 cm bought from local toy shop.
@Anti-Matter Yeah but these have motion-sensing and multicolored lights!
One Moon Ball, please
@ThomasBW84
Oh... Make a sense.
My cheap Pokeballs are just for display purpose, but sometimes I can put some small toys inside as alternative storage. 😅
Cherish ball isn't that unknown, considering it's what all mystery gifts come in and has a very unique look and shape.
What we totally need to see though? The iconic GS Ball!
Even though it was introduced in the anime and simply forgotten without resolution.
oooh, die-cast? So we can really throw these at animals and knock them the ƒ*çß out?
One step closer to animal death-matches! Thank you, Pokemon!
@aznable Just tried this. Didn't get a new Pokémon and XP, just got arrested, blood on my new pants, my dog in an animal shelter, and a dead cat.
Too bad I killed the cat, I really wanted that Litten.
Also cool replica, looks really nice, there just should be a warning next time that it doesn't actually catch Pokémon.
I adore these and I'd 100% pick at least one of them up if I didn't have driving lessons to pay for
I feel like if it already has lights the button should be a fingerprint reader that opens it so you can store something inside..like the snitch in 'Arry Potter.
@UglyCasanova Wait who ratted on Harry Potter? Weasley? NO! Granger! She's the kind to snitch.
Scraping the bottom of the barrel now. The only Pokeball worth owning a replica of is the original, and maybe the new one from Arceus which is quite iconic. All the others are pointless.
@Troll_Decimator I'd argue that the Master Ball is definitely worth it too.
@Anti-Matter Saying this is like your date asking if you want to go out for steak dinner and you responding "I already have a pack of hot dogs at home"
Net Ball or I riot.
@Fizza Nu, timer ball, or I riot.
@Troll_Decimator That's what I was thinking. What's the point if it isn't the iconic look?
ooh i want a dive and moon ball
Cherish Ball sounds cool, but my favorite will always be the Dusk Ball. I loved the particle effects when it released Pokemon and the green coloring was cool too. Premier and Luxury Balls are also really good.
